HOW DOES IT WORK?

A fine probe is inserted into the natural channel of the hair follicle, which sits in the outer layer of the epidermis (outer layer of the skin), you will not be able to feel the insertion. A current is released to destroy the germinative cells and tissues that cause hair growth (you may feel a little heat or tingling). For the most successful results the hair must be in its Anagen phase; the growth period when it is attached the capillaries responsible for hair growth.

There are 3 forms of Electro epilation; Electrolysis, Thermolysis & Combined Currents (Blend). Your technician will choose the best mode & technique based on your tolerance, availability, pilosity, area to be treated and contraindications.

Hi there,

My name is Sophie and I am the founder Northern Rivers Electrolysis.

I first started my electrolysis journey when I was in my teens and now 20+ years later I can attest that it is well and truly permanent hair removal.

Since then my body has developed and changed with time and I have sought electrolysis several times.

I have also had laser hair removal sessions on my body, while some results were fantastic,  in  more “hormonal’ areas the results were short lived and  areas which were treated that only had very fine “virgin’ hairs I have experienced paradoxal re-growth.

I moved permanently to the Northern Rivers in 2014, at the time I could only find one electrologist, who shorty moved away. I knew this is a treatment that so many people could benefit from and that there is so little understanding about. I did my research and found what is recognised internationally as the best academy, with the highest standard, Acadamie Dectro Canada, who are at the forefront of hair removal research and development. I have since completed my Dectro training, with Holo Academy in Melbourne Australia. Also sourcing the superior electro epilation machine on the market, Apilus Xcell Pro.
